Ohio Child Support Guidelines

OHIO CHILD SUPPORT GUIDELINES

To determine what child support should be in your particular case under the Ohio Child Support Guidelines, simply fill in the blanks with the most accurate information possible.

If this document is too confusing, I have created a short-hand version that everyone can complete. It may not be exactly the amount the guidelines would calculate, however it is an easy method of calculating a reasonable "ballpark" figure. SHORT CUT

1.(A) Annual gross income from employment or,

when determined appropriate by the court or agency,

average annual gross income from employment over

a reasonable period of years ( exclude overtime and bonuses)

COLUMN I.............COLUMN II

Father___________Mother___________

1.(B) Amount of overtime and bonuses.

Year 1_____(1 year ago) Father__________Mother________

Include in Column I and/or Column II the average of

three years of the year 1 amount, whichever is less.

If there exists a reasonable expectation that the

total earning from overtime and/or bonuses during the

current calendar year will meet or exceed the amount that

is the lower of the average of the three years or the

year 1 amount. If, however, there exists a reasonable

expectation that the total earning from overtime/bonuses

during the calendar year will be less that the lower of the

average of the three years or year 1 amount, include only

the amount reasonably expected to be earned this year.
